Sunset by wwatrach Sunset by wwatrach
In recent days my good friend from way back in high school, Scott Lazzara had approached me on making a post apocalyptic piece for his place, as his plan is to amass the work of his friends to adorn his walls and thereby have personal stories to tell about them and those who created them. The result is this fine number, a 36" x 24" piece completed entirely in Photoshop.

I'm glad it effects you emotionally. That was part of the intent and it's good that I have achieved what I set out to do. I liked the idea of telling a story through this couple who just before their world was destroyed, held each other in comfort and looked out at the final moments of their lives.

25 :+fav:??? are you joking? this one really deserve more audienceO_o
Looking at your works i really notice now that you have a deep sense of the color. I love the way you underlined the skeletons and the rest of the picture. details are everywhere. Great piece, really, even if the idea of an apocalypse breaks my heart.

You really transmitted the feeling here. The whole composition just let you do a full immersion in the worst terrible disaster, and it's hard to get out of it once you started lloking at this couple.
